I operate from a psychodynamic (relational) framework, although I have the training and experience to adapt my style to best suit each client's individual needs. I encourage curiosity in the therapy room with an emphasis on reserving judgment; I believe that through increased awareness of ourselves, as opposed to simply labeling our thoughts, feelings, and actions as good or bad, we give ourselves the best opportunity to grow. I strive to create a safe, intimate environment that balances nurturing and support with challenging one's preconceived notions and beliefs.
I am especially interested in relationship issues, be they intimate relationships, friendships, or something more undefined. I also have a special interest in working with clients of the LGBTQ+ community, but welcome all individuals and couples with an interest in exploring, learning, and growing.
I offer both in-person and virtual services for psychotherapy; I respect the needs and wants of my clients, and makes efforts to be flexible and to provide hybrid services if clients prefer a mix of in-person and virtual sessions.
I provide individual, couples, and family therapy. I structure my approach based on the person, their presenting concerns, and their goals for treatment. I see therapy as an organic and collaborative process, and strive to make joint decisions with my clients about if they are looking for short- or long-term therapy, and the frequency of sessions.
I have day and evening hours, and try to work with you as the client to provide times that work best.
