At this time, I am in network for UMR insurance through Mt. Sinai. Although I am not in network with any other insurances please note that you can still use out of network benefits for your sessions. I am happy to discuss the logistics with you in our consultation, but one good starting point is to reach out to your insurance provider and ask the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network coverage?
If so, is there an annual deductible? Have I met it? If not, how much has been met?
What percentage do you cover for out-of-network mental health providers?
Is there a maximum amount you reimburse per visit or per year?
Is there a claim form that I must use to submit for reimbursement?
How much time do I have to submit a claim after my session?
Insurance providers may ask some specific questions regarding sessions and CPT codes. The three main CPT codes that I use are:
90791 (initial evaluation sessions) This can be from one to three sessions.
90837 (60 minute individual therapy session)
90847 (couples or family therapy session)
For all out-of-network services, I will provide you with a Superbill that includes all of the required information for you to receive reimbursement from your insurance company. I provide these Superbills at the beginning of every month to ensure you can receive timely payment from the insurance companies for services rendered.
